Thought it would be fun to do a Throwback Thursday post on days when I don’t have new images to share. These pics are from this week in 2008. I was living in Grand Cayman working for Cathy Church’s Photo Centre. I guess the color yellow was catching my eye that day on the reef at
I had the opportunity to dive today with a Sea Rovers’ guest who had an even more monstrous camera than mine. We were both kitted up for macro and dive guide Edy found us some lovely critters at Midway here in Pemuteran. I enjoyed playing with the octopus who started with just the top of

I see divers and snorkelers slathering on sunscreen every time I go out on the Sea Rovers’ boats. Since there are only a limited number of dive sites at Menjangan and here in Pemuteran, it really worries me about the impact these chemicals may be having on the reefs. Here are some excerpts from an article
In honor of World Oceans Day, I’d like to officially launch the website Kat’s Ocean. The site is still a baby with lots of growing to do. I’ve never built a website before, so I’m still climbing a steep learning curve. You can learn more about me, my life in Bali and my diving adventures
