I had the opportunity to dive today with a Sea Rovers’ guest who had an even more monstrous camera than mine. We were both kitted up for macro and dive guide Edy found us some lovely critters at Midway here in Pemuteran. I enjoyed playing with the octopus who started with just the top of his head out of his hole, and eventually got him all the way out as he displayed a range of colors from nearly white to deep brown. Another great photo-op was the mushroom coral ghost shrimp–it wasn’t until I got back and downloaded the photos that I noticed it was carrying eggs. I love little surprises like that.
